Since 1948, our mission has been simple: to partner with families — offering expert pediatric care, genuine support, and a trusted hand through every stage of childhood.

A Legacy of Care, A Future of Compassion
CMG was founded right here in Jackson by Drs. Charles Ward and Jim Hendrick, two physicians who believed in providing personalized, high-quality healthcare to children in a warm and welcoming setting. What started as a small office on North State Street has grown into one of Central Mississippi’s most trusted pediatric practices — serving generations of families with the same heart and dedication.
By 1958, the group had grown and moved to Carlisle Street near Baptist Hospital, and in 1999, relocated to our current Jackson office on Crane Ridge Drive. Over the years, we’ve added locations in Clinton, Madison, and Richland to make care more convenient for the families we serve.
CMG Today
Today, our team of 11 board-certified pediatricians and pediatric-trained nurses brings together decades of experience with modern, evidence-based medicine. Each provider works closely with families to ensure every child is seen, heard, and supported.
We are proud to hold hospital privileges at both Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and Children’s of Mississippi (UMMC) — strengthening our ability to coordinate care and provide seamless support if your child ever needs hospital services.
